Avoid such people. 6 For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,7 always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

What the Word says:  

• “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” – Proverbs 19:21

• “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” – Luke 22:42

22.33 – A few reminders:

1. It’s very important to get in the Word and continue to sharpen that sword. 

2. Search scripture and compare what you’re hearing to the Word of God. The Bereans Search the Scriptures

   • 10 As soon as it was night, the brothers and sisters sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. Upon arrival, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 The people here were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica since they received the word with eagerness and examined[a] the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

3. Seek wise counsel. Pastor, husband (if he is rooted in the Word), spiritual mother, and other sisters in Christ, Life group/Bible study group.

   • Listen to counsel and receive instruction so that you may be wise later in life. Proverbs 19:20
