And so today, I am digging into what brings this on, how to calm in the middle of the storm, and what you should focus on first so you can get back into a groove and rock your day in a safe and healthy way.

Seek the Lord by praying.
Find a calming verse and recite it.
Find a worship song and praise Him in the midst of that anxious moment.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 09.37 – Step #2: Slow Down and Identify the Perceived Danger
Now that you have your eyes on the Lord, look back at that moment and identify what you judged to be unsafe.
We live in a world that wants things done yesterday. Heck, WE want things done yesterday. Sometimes, our impatience is the very thing triggering angst and worry.
Now that you are in the presence of the Lord, you are SAFE, SSis. Whatever it was that made you feel unsafe is not actually a threat. Slow it down. Put that thing back in its place, both in your mind and in the world around you.
11.12 – Step #3: Identify the Greatest/Most Dire (Time-Sensitive) Need and Execute
At this point, you have officially taken a break and know what made you feel unsafe. It’s time to come back w/ the mindset shift: the thing is not bigger than the Lord. Jesus has already conquered the grave. It means that the worst that can happen in this life, which is death, doesn’t even have a leg to stand on because you have eternal life in CHRIST.
You look at things with a fresh set of eyes. You see your TRUE priorities and put them in their proper place.
