“Unapologetically Authentic and Grounded in Truth. I absolutely love Erika’s commitment to biblical truth, delivered with such grace and authenticity. While we have never met in person, she relates in a way that makes it seem like we are kindred spirits. I relate so much to her story and am blessed by the wisdom God gives through her. 03.46 – Time is my #1 anxiety trigger, resulting in overcommitting and being enslaved to schedules
04.22 – 3 Reasons Your Schedule is NOT the problem
Reason #1: Schedules help us remain organized
If being organized is hard for you, schedules will be a challenge.
If your mind is all over the place, your life is likely all over the place.
As a picture of the Biblical organization, think of how God instructed the 12 Tribes of Israel to camp around the Arc of the Covenant.
Numbers 2:2 says “The Israelites are to camp around the tent of meeting some distance from it, each of them under their standard and holding the banners of their family.”
So, schedules are not the problem. It is a YOU problem. Your disorganization is the problem.
06.29 – Reason #2: Schedules keep us accountable
People STRUGGLE with accountability, especially those who struggle to come through on commitments.
People do not feel good when they realize they are not coming through on commitments.
Accountability is BIBLICAL. You may not like it, but our Father in Heaven sure does. He makes sure we know He does!
Romans 14:12 says, “So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.”
Again, schedules are not the problem. It is a YOU problem. Your lack of accountability or your issue with accountability is the problem.
08.18 – Reason #3: Schedules help us plan and prepare
If you are not a planner, you are walking down a slippery slope. Even those who desire flexibility in their day stick to some form of schedule. Thus the term flexible schedule. Their tasks and activities are on their calendar. Why? Because schedules help us plan and prepare for what, where, and with who.
Planning is Biblical. GOD, HIMSELF, has plans. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
