Q3 was BUSYYYYYY. If you have been around here for a while or for at least a month, you will know that change and transition are the themes of my life right now.
Q3 RECAP and REFLECTION
03.08 – I became a stay-at-home-mom or work-from-home-mom
03.22 – The quarterly Bible study, The Book of Jonah, started on 7/5/2022. I got a ton of positive feedback, and the Facebook group grew to over 100 people during this period
04.02 – In August, I joined a podcast mastermind which resulted in massive refining and clarity around Her Renewed Strength, not just in the podcast but also in the business and brand
04.50 – My family and I moved to Florida with nothing but our clothes
05.12 – I brought on a new team member, Mary Reed, who is now my virtual assistant! She is so sweet and has been such a joy to work
05.33 – I opened coaching again & booked out September. Currently, I am taking on clients for October and November and have 5 BONUS SPOTS open for special pricing on a la carte sessions. The most sought coaching session is the Stress-Free Productivity Session. The program has been extremely successful for women who implement what we work on during that hour. Email me at erika@herrenewedstrength.com to book your call
06.46 – I began to prep for our study on the book of Ruth which will start in the first week of November. It is a 4-week study ending with a fellowship call. Make sure you are inside the Facebook group for this free study. I go live every day for about 20-minutes and will keep the replays organized inside the group for those who can’t make it live or decide to join later. All replays live in the Facebook group forever. Go to www.herrenewedstrength.com/community to join!
07.31 – We closed on our house in Florida! There followed a rough few weeks:
our son getting sick and ending up in the hospital
an unexpected hiccups with the move & house
a terrible experience with the car we bought
Praise God, everything was resolved by the last Friday in September. The very next morning, I learned about hurricane Ian.
09.17 – Her Renewed Strength Co. celebrated a 1-year anniversary
We are officially over 13K downloads!
Help us reach 15K downloads by sharing the podcast with other anxious & overwhelmed Christian women
The podcast is created to meet anxious & overwhelmed Christian women where they are; support and encourage them to not only be better stewards of time and resources but also to grow in their walk with the Lord by getting into God’s Word consistently!
As I reflect, I remember the times I was so anxious I could hardly stand my own thoughts. Never mind all the noise and extra stuff around me. I remember having days when I fell to my knees and just cried out to the Lord to please take the stress and help me. I remember feeling like I just wanted to crawl under a rock, but remembered how quickly my kids would find me and crawl under with me. HAHAHA
In July, my friend said, “You know God is behind it when all the blessings come at one time.” I will add that you know the blessings are huge, kingdom-building blessings when the enemy works double time to wreak havoc on your life.
Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
At that time, I had to fight for my time with the Lord and plan my time each day so I could spend time in His Word intentionally. It kept me calm and gave me that portion of peace and patience each day.
I knew we were up against spiritual warfare when back-to-back-to-back issues were coming up. Not small issues! Not just in one area too!
The things we do in obedience to the Lord are not easy. What is easy is to get discouraged and think it is a sign to give up doing what He literally opened the door for you to do.
Faith is leaning in and trusting that the Lord will bring you through, even if you don’t see even a slither of a chance that things will be rectified.
16.02 – My question and invitation to you: will you trust Him enough to praise Him in the waiting and look forward to the creativity He is crafting into your testimony?
16.21 – My prayer for you…
BONUS WORKSHOP – DIY Stress-Free Productivity Session Using the ARC Method
I will walk you through all the prompts I use with my clients. It is important to press pause so you can take action on your own.
If you want to see change, I invite you to email me your simplified schedule and share the ONE thing you commit to transforming in your week in Q4! You can send those to erika@herrenewedstrength.com
Reminder: Productivity and busy are not the same things. Productivity pushes tasks from start to finish.
19.09 – Step #1: ASSESS
Write out everything you do in a week – all recurring activities, Sunday through Saturday
Identify your non-negotiable and top priority activities like work, pickup/dropoff w/ the kids, cleaning, sleep, rest, etc.
Next to those activities, write how long it takes you to do that thing (or how long you think it takes you)
Create your time blocks – you can head to episodes 16 and 18 to dig into that more!
Schedule your non-negotiable and top priority activities into your week
Check your schedule and identify where those “free” pockets of time are. Are there any free pockets of time?
21.27 – Step #2: RELEASE
Write down your goal(s) for quarter 4 and the things you WANT to do (vs need to do). These are things you can negotiate when it comes to giving them time. HOPEFULLY, you have already prayed about these goals and other wants, waited on the Lord, and received a YES from Him. We are not out here doing what we want and asking God to bless it.
Review your week and time blocks. Where do these goal-related activities and desire-related activities fit? If they don’t fit, you need to start letting some of that stuff go and putting them on the want list for later.
Think about potential distractions and start laying those down, as well.
23.15 – Step 3: CREATE
Create your final weekly schedule and only commit to doing what you MUST DO and what you really want to do. Your non-negotiables have to be on this schedule. Everything else, you will work it in.
If you realize you are doing too much, go back to step 2 and release some things so you can create space for the Lord to work and lead you to what HE would have you do.
If you realize you have more free time than you thought, consider how you are using that free time to honor the Lord.
So if you go through this and realize, “Wow! I have no idea what to do or where to go with this.” This is your wake-up call. You need help and I’m the person who can best support you in this leg of your journey. I am literally waving a big sign at you – extending a nearly 50% discount to the first five women who book a 60-minute session with me. So, run, don’t walk! Message me at erika@herrenewedstrength.com
Check the Facebook Group for mental health themes in the book of Jonah, and opportunities for us to check our own heart posture and recognize God extending His grace and mercy to us DAILY.
