I remember those days when I planned and mapped out my weeks but struggled to execute them. I was really organized, ON PAPER! It was not until I started working with a life coach that I realized what was tripping me up.
02.38 – I saw something specific sticking out to me, the very thing linked to all the anxiety I had about time.
What is the unsuspecting culprit of that anxiety? What is the self-sabotaging behavior I engaged with that caused me to fall behind on my goals?
The problem was I was more worried about what other people thought of me than about my own commitments, including my commitment to the goals I set.
03.53 – The most likely results if you are more worried about what others think of you
-
You compromise your own priorities
-
You fail to set boundaries around time
-
You end up pushing back your goals and your commitments
-
You are afraid to let others down or think you are selfish
Each time you say yes to someone’s priorities instead of your own, you say no to your own commitments. As a result, you fail to prioritize the things the Lord is leading you to do.
It is a behavior and mindset issue that will not change overnight. You need to work through this little by little.

06.17 – 3 Steps to Help You and Meet You Right Where You Are
Step #1: Seek the Lord (eyes on Him)
Galatians 1:10 is a great reminder of this. Check out Episode 41 for the entire episode.
Step #2: Look at where God has you.
-
Identify how you are glorifying Him in the season that you are in.
-
Write it out, put it in a progress journal, etc… It takes the focus off of others and you.
Step #3: Turn off the noise
-
Set boundaries
-
Consume less, even those conversations that are stimulating in ways that are not great
-
Taking in less, not just content on social media but opinions
-
Stop asking so many people what they think about something
08.34 – An invitation for you…
